Horizon: Extended Sequence Chart for Eclipse IDE

Added by Georg Kunz over 7 years ago

We'd like to announce an extention of the Eclipse-based sequence chart that focuses specifically on visualizing and tuning parallel simulations under Horizon. The new features of the extended sequence chart include

  • illustration of event durations and event complexities,
  • highlighting of parallelizable events,
  • configurable search for bottlenecks, i.e., regions containing only few parallelizable event,
  • computation and visualization of the critical path.

The code of sequence chart is currently available in our git repository. Have a look at the README for information on how to build, install, and use the sequence chart. This work has also been submitted as a code contribution to the OMNeT++ workshop 2012.

Horizon: Example simulation model online

Added by Georg Kunz over 7 years ago

We added the new subproject Horizon Sample Models which currently hosts a single example model. This model shows the fundamentals of the durations-based modeling paradigm underlying Horizon.

Horizon: Horizon source code is public

Added by Georg Kunz over 7 years ago

The source code of Horizon is finally publicly available. Feel free to clone our git repository and try it out. However, Horizon is still under development: We will add missing features and fix the bugs we find. Hence, the repository might by unstable until we tag a first release.
